Now that good digital cameras no longer cost an arm and a leg and many shots can easily be taken with a standard mobile phone, working with photos for the pc or the internet has become a lot easier and cheaper. Nowadays you only need to go to the trouble of scanning and editing photos when you are working with archive material.
